Bill Sciarappa bio
William J Sciarappa, Ph.D. received his doctorate from Rutgers University in economic entomology. As an agriculture and resource management agent for Rutgers Extension, Bill is responsible for the field production, marketing and informational needs of agricultural clients.
Bill is currently Chair of the Organic Horticulture Committee of the American Society of Horticultural Science and Vice Chair of the Natural Resources Committee of the National Agricultural County Agent’s Association. He also teaches organic agriculture and gardening.
Bill works as co-principal Investigator of a USDA-NRI grant entitled “A Market Driven Approach to Ethnic Crop Development for the U.S. East Coast.” This research is the focus of his keynote speech for the conference.
